Happy Changes was a brochure created for the Daegu Metropolitan City Hall to advertise and introduce new city policies to its citizens.

The City Hall has been creating these brochures yearly. When we examined the previous brochures, we found collages of photographs and illustrations on every page with texts in irregular locations, therefore creating too many visual cues and giving the content—the policies they were trying to introduce—very little emphasis.

The client also specifically requested a colorful design to fit the taste of the City Mayor.

I proposed a new design that focused on stripping away unnecessary clutter and unifying the look of the brochure, and reserving more space for content like a clean report.

Client: Daegu City Hall
